I have been attracted to the ordinary of everyday, not always sure why a certain subject matter appeals to me. I tend to explore the same subject or situation, multiple times; whether it is a simple color shift, or adding and/or subtracting from the original situation. Truth & beauty can be found all around us. When the mind is silent, the universe presents something not considered before. And in that consideration, when I opt to see beauty, inspired perspectives and calm are ever present.

Based in the Midwest, I work primarily in watercolors and water based oils. My subject matter spans outward from these vast expanses and the intimate scenes within this part of the country, to destinations unknown and yet to be explored by me. I am not so much interested in depicting the immediately recognizable locales, but rather the common themes found within all of them. Opting to see beauty, wherever I go.
